STONE MANOR
The Christmas Party has become a tradition amongst Country Lane Toursregulars, or more correctly 'the usual suspects,' to get together and socialise in convivial surroundings, especially if they've not met up during the year.
The venue this year is STONE MANOR , on the A448 between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster, and I’ve reserved twenty-five rooms and I’m afraid once they’re gone that is it so to avoid disappointment do book early!
As it’s a social rather than a car event there's no polishing to be done!
The hotel is easily accessible from the M42 and M5, being just nine miles from Junction 1 on the M42.
This time the event starts on a Tuesday as generally everything of interest shuts on a Monday and there’s quite a lot to see locally.
So…………..! The two-night dinner, bed & breakfast break, with traditional Christmas dinner on the Wednesday evening, is slightly up on last year at £385 per person based on two people sharing as once again hospitality industry costs have taken a hammering thanks to Rachel from accounts!
The offer is only available to people who are on the Country Lane Tours mailing list and priority is being given to those who have been on tours, but places are limited so if you wish to attend please act quickly to ensure your reservation as there are only twenty-five rooms booked.
The itinerary is as follows:
Tuesday, December 1st. Arrivals at the 4-star Stone Manor during the day. Dinner at 7pm but prosecco at 6.30pm.
Wednesday, December 2nd. A day to chill out and maybe take a walk in the grounds, or follow the route instructions for a drive around the lanes. Traditional Christmas dinner, with all trimmings, will be served at 7pm, but again prosecco at 6.30pm.
Thursday, December 3rd. Departure for home.
CHRISTMAS PARTY. The cost for the event, after serious bartering, is just £385 per person, based on two people sharing. Single supplement £75 per night.
Included in the price are the following:
- Two nights’ accommodation on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis at the 4-star Stone Manor.
- Traditional Christmas dinner on the Wednesday evening.
- Information pack on arrival with leaflets on local attractions
- Pre-dinner prosecco reception each evening
- Spa treatment needs to be pre-booked and paid for
- Route instructions for scenic run around Warwickshire lanes
- Sundry extras
There’s quite a lot of interest to see close to the hotel.
Historic Harvington Hall with its numerous priest hiding places is only a mile and a half away, and in Bromsgrove there is the Norton Collection Museum (nothing to do with Norton motorbikes!) with its eclectic artifacts and Avoncourt Museum of Historic Buildings.
Avoncourt has an amazing showman’s caravan with fabulous internal details.

In order to obtain the low price non-refundable deposits and payments have to be made to the hotel, attractions, etc. well in advance so regrettably after November 1st no refund is possible.
NOTE!!!!!! There are 25 rooms reserved at Stone Manor Hotel so if you wish to be certain of a place please book quickly. In addition there is a variety of rooms and the superior ones will be allocated as usual on a first come, first served basis.
